Minnesota History, Art and Nature – Oct. 20, 27, Nov. 3, & 10
$35.00
This engaging four-session course connects young artists to Minnesota’s rich natural and cultural heritage. Students will explore the physical features and history of Pine County through hands-on activities like salt dough mapping, diamond willow carving, and nature sketching.
A highlight of the program includes a special field trip to the Osprey Learning Center where students will participate in a guided nature journaling experience on land once inhabited by the Ojibwe people and later farmed and forested.
In the final session, students will bring their sketches to life using watercolor paints and take part in a group show & tell celebration.
