Overview
We will adapt Julia Cameron’s Morning Pages (long-hand, stream-of-consciousness writing) as we gather in community to do our Monday Morning Pages together. Then, for some prompted freewriting, we will use inspiration from poets, writers, and thought leaders. After each writing, there will be time to share any thoughts or reflections that appeared. To end each session, we will create a collaborative poem from our own writings.
Caveats
The intention of our Journaling Circle to is provide community that encourages writing. With that, you decide how you want to participate. During a meeting, you can share only what you want with the group. There is no requirement to speak and/or to offer up what you have written. Each writing session will also include a prompt; however, you get to decide whether to follow the prompt or not.  Maybe you’ll come for the sake of journaling accountability or to simply be in a calm and encouraging space with others to do your own self-reflecting through writing.
