The January class calendar is now live on our Shop Events page and we are excited for some new things that are coming to life in 2019.   A reminder that all of our classes require advanced registration.  If a minimum number of students is not reached, we reserve the right to cancel them.  It isn’t often that we can accommodate a walk-in addition to a class, but when we can – it will be posted through our Facebook page.

We are excited for the popular Fused Glass class offered by Shawnda Schelinder coming up on Saturday, January 19th.  Seating is limited for this class so is likely to fill early!

Leah Ames is back this month with a 4-part Learning to Knit class.  Students will meet 2 Wednesdays and 2 Saturdays and complete a hat as part of the class.  Knitting supplies will be loaned to students for this event.

Charlene Herrick presents her Wine Glass Painting this month featuring winter scenes and a red cardinal.  This class will be held on Saturday, January 26th.

Local artist, Kristin Webster, has a full slate of classes coming up for Wednesdays (January 23rd & 30th this month) – all the way through the end of May.  Webster’s classes are coming in direct response to some of the feedback we’ve been receiving about having daytime class options.  You’ll find a mid-morning Watercolor Painting class for adults, a special class for Home School students that have daytime availability, as well as two after school options for elementary and high school students.  Advance registration for all of these class offerings is required, so don’t delay in getting signed up!

Are you a local artist interested in teaching a class through the Art Center?  We welcome new instructors throughout the year…. bring your class ideas and we’ll be happy to meet with you to discuss date options for a class or special workshop.  The Art Center has welcomed a new Class Coordinator ~ Nick Basta.  Nick can be reached by email at pinecenterclasses@gmail.com.
