The Pine Center for the Arts is issuing an open call for artists to participate in its third annual Black and White Gallery.

Whether you’re a photographer, painter, potter or anything in between, all mediums are welcome. Both seasoned artists and newcomers are encouraged to enter artwork.

“This is a great opportunity for new artists to display their work in a gallery for the first time,” said Nancy Mach, Pine Center for the Arts’ president. “The sense of pride that it instills in them, it can energize artists and encourage them to host a gallery show of their own in the future.”

Artists are allowed to submit up to four recent works of art. The entry fee is $30. Artists who have been financially impacted by Covid-19 can request to have their $30 fee waived.  Since so many have been impacted by the effects of COVID-19 this year, ALL entries fees for this event are waived!

All entries will be eligible for Best of Show and People’s Choice awards, which includes a $50 gift certificate.

The opening of the gallery is 4-7 pm on Friday, April 9, 2021. Wine, beer and snacks will be available. The opening reception is free and open to the public. Covid-19 safety protocols will be observed.

Pine Center for the Arts is open on Thursdays, 3-5 pm; Fridays, 4-6 pm and  Saturdays, 10 am-12 pm.
